About
The FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum is a Berlin district museum and sees itself as a forum and memory of the district with its exhibitions, events, its collection/archive and mediation offerings.
The permanent and temporary exhibitions combine aspects of the city's history with current issues, especially concerning industrial, commercial and urban development and the history of migration. A central focus of the museum's work is the reappraisal of previously underrepresented topics and perspectives.
In addition, the museum is professionally responsible for remembrance work and commemorative culture in the diverse district.
Since its founding, the museum has worked in all areas participatively and closely with people, initiatives and organizations. The FHXB Museum sees itself as a public space for all people, beyond their origin and social location.
